Khusro II, also known as Khosrow Parviz, was the last great Sasanian King of Kings, ruling from 590 to 628 AD. His reign was characterized by immense cultural patronage and massive territorial expansion, pushing the empire's borders to their greatest extent before a devastating and protracted war with the Byzantine Empire led to his deposition.
